In 1975, Ruth Quinn, the granddaughter of Henry Heide, creator of Jujubes and Jujyfruits candies, was found murdered in her home in Coronado, California. 

• Quinn was found shot to death in her bed, and her murder remains unsolved.
• The cold case has received renewed interest from author Taylor Kiland's 2025 book, 
  Murder of the Jujube Candy Heiress: A Coronado Cold Case.
• The title comes from Quinn's familial link to the original Jujubes candy, which was discontinued by Ferrara Candy Company in 2012.
