  Beverage maker Health-Ade has been hit with a proposed class action lawsuit alleging several of the company’s kombucha products contain toxic “forever chemicals.” Alanna Morton, a New York resident, filed the lawsuit on Tuesday in Manhattan federal court, claiming the company misleadingly marketed and advertised its kombucha as a “health” product even though it tested positive for dangerously high levels of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS. The lawsuit claims PFAS were found in the company’s Ginger Pineapple Belly Reset, Mint Limeade, Cayenne Cleanse, Pomegranate Berry and Strawberry Glow with bamboo extract and biotin products.

  Eating instant noodles 2–3 times per week has been linked to a higher risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes , according to The Journal of Nutrition. Researchers found that instant noodles are often high in sodium, unhealthy fats, and refined carbs. These ingredients can raise blood sugar, cholesterol, and blood pressure. Researchers at Harvard University reported a 68% higher risk of metabolic syndrome among women who consume instant noodles ≥ twice/week but not in men.

  Christopher Ranch peeled garlic sold at Tops stores is being recalled due to a potential botulism risk caused by improper storage temperatures. The product was kept in open-air coolers that did not stay within the required 32 to 37 degrees Fahrenheit range, creating conditions for dangerous bacteria growth. The recall is classified as Class 1—the highest risk level—and consumers are urged to return the product for a refund and seek medical attention if symptoms appear.

  The Wonderful Company  based in California, touts its “ iconic, healthy  popular pomegranate juice and other products. But it’s also the state’s second-largest user of paraquat – a toxic weedkiller linked to increased risk of   Parkinson’s disease  and other harms. In 2021 alone, Wonderful sprayed more than 56,000 pounds of paraquat on fields in the Golden State used to produce pistachios, almonds and pomegranates,

Popular ingredient in Oat "milk" now linked to aggressive colon cancer (2026)   The link between oat milk and colon cancer is not definitively established by direct research . Concern in recent news articles stems from the presence of additives and emulsifiers in some commercial oat milk products, which are a component of ultra-processed foods (UPFs) a category linked to a higher risk of colon cancer in young people. E xperts also says that many oat milks contain additives that can trigger inflammation and disturb metabolism. Non-organic oats may contain residues of pesticides like glyphosate, which are suspected of disrupting the endocrine system.  Drinking oat milk daily can cause allergic reactions in some people.

 Cheerios were recalled due to rat feces in three US states,  Indiana, Minnesota and North Dakota . The recall, issued by the FDA, affects nearly 2,000 items, including well-known brands like Cheerios, Nutella, Pringles, Redbull, sour patch kids, Coca-Cola, and Gatorade  Officials say the products may have been exposed to harmful bacteria such as Salmonella through airborne particles from animal waste  as such bird and rat droppings and rodent urine.

(2026) The lawsuit alleges Ferrara failed to ensure the product was safe and failed to disclose the presence of arsenic. The FDOH found that more than 96 pieces of Nerds candy exceed the amount of arsenic a child can safely consume in a year. Ferrara Candy Co. is accused of failing to alert consumers regarding the presence of arsenic in its popular candy brands like Trolli gummies, Nerds, Sweet Tarts, Laffy Taffy and more, according to a proposed class action filed Wednesday in Illinois federal court.

The  FDA  has issued a  recall  for four carton sizes of RITZ Cracker Sandwiches — two RITZ Crackers with a filling — after it was revealed that some peanut butter sandwiches had been mislabeled as cheese sandwiches.  Ritz peanut butter crackers have also been tested for deadly allergens. This is a serious risk to the 3million  peanut butter allergy  sufferers in the US who may unknowingly consume the crackers and be at risk of 'serious or life-threatening allergic reactions'. The FDA said the affected sandwiches were sold nationwide, with RITZ Crackers carried by many top stores, including Target, CVS and Dollar General. (msn.com)
